Contrast injection could be associated with all of the following EXCEPT:

a) Hypervolemia

b) Electrolyte imbalances

c) Allergic responses

d) Hepatic failure

Answer d. There are multiple adverse reactions to contrast injections including hypervolemia, electrolyte imbalance, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis and renal failure. Hepatic failure would be a highly unusual response.
