Answer

Answer d. Intracranial pressure monitoring would be very helpful for patients with hepatic failure (with or without OLT); however, there is considerable risk of insertion of a monitor into the cranium of a patient with coagulopathy and thrombocytopenia. At some centers this is performed, but it is not a routine monitor.
