Scoliosis (AIS) protocol

IV (left #18g if possible)

Oral: Tylenol 650mg, tizanidine 4mg, bisacodyl 10mg, celocoxib 400mg

IV Midaz 2mg on transport to OR

Check QTc (<0.4sec)

Methadone 0.15mg/kg IV

Propofol to complete induction

Nasal ETT (regular tube, Magills))

Isoflurane 0.6%, N2O 50%

Left #20G Art line (ultrasound)

Second IV #18g (opposite arm)

Foley

IOM wires

Prone

TXA (30mg/kg up to 2mg then 10mg/kg/hr)

Ancef 2gm

Ketamine 0.2mg/kg bolus prior to incision

Ondansetron

Dexamethasone

No muscle relaxant
