All of the following are anesthetic concerns in a patient with Turner's syndrome EXCEPT:

A. Increased risk of difficult airway

B. Delayed gastric emptying

C. Increased excretion of drugs that undergo renal metabolism

D. Increased risk of endobronchial intubation

Answer

The answer is C.

Turner's is associated with congenital renal abnormalities and possible DECREASED excretion of drugs that undergo renal metabolism. All the other are concerns. Don't forget the aortic valve issues and earlier (adult) cardiac disease (read coronary artery and ischemic heart disease). This may be the biggest issue.
